Rapid CNC Turning Services

CNC turning is frequently requested for a certain category of parts. Turning is a CNC machining process in which the workpiece is rotated at speed in a chuck. Unlike with CNC milling, the cutting tool does not spin.

Materials for CNC Turning

We stock a range of metal materials that are suitable for various part applications and industries. Choose from aluminum, brass, low carbon steel, stainless steel, steel alloy, and titanium for turned parts.

Turning can be carried out on metals like aluminum, magnesium, steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, bronze, titanium and nickel alloy, as well as plastics like nylon, polycarbonate, ABS, POM, PP, PMMA, PTFE, PEI, PEEK. CNC turning machines are also known as lathe machines.

Huge Capability Of CNC Machining

machmaster provides a wide range of CNC Turning Service in both plastic and metal block material. In 2002, machmaster started to set up the CNC machining workshop and developed year by year.

What is CNC turning?

CNC turning is a method for producing symmetrical cylindrical parts. A simple example is a shaft. Keyways and other non-symmetric cutouts can be added later with another operation.

CNC lathes spin the metal part while the cutting tool can move axially in 2 directions – along the side of the part as well as towards it.

Therefore, the system spins the part while bringing the cutting tool into contact with the workpiece as necessary. This results in cut off bits of swarf. The continuous operation creates the final part.

Turning is different to CNC milling, in which the cutting tool rotates and is directed from multiple angles at the workpiece, which is usually stationary. Because CNC turning involves rotating the workpiece in a chuck, it is generally used to create round or tubular shapes, achieving far more accurate rounded surfaces than would be possible with CNC milling or other processes.

Fractory can offer CNC turning services for a large number of different materials. These include carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, copper alloys, etc. Using a CNC lathe service is suitable for both prototyping as well as batch production.

CNC turning metals

CNC turning is commonly used for mechanical and aspect components, which are often made from aluminum, the most machinable metal. Aluminum parts can be made with high strength and accuracy, as well as a superior surface finish.

CNC turning plastics

While precision machining is typically used for metals, MACHMASTER can also provide CNC turning services for plastic parts. Materials available for CNC turning include nylon, polycarbonate, ABS, POM, PP, PMMA, PTFE, PEI, PEEK, providing more accurate parts than 3D printing.
